Cottonopolis is a restaurant and bar in Manchester’s Northern Quarter (NQ), you know that really cool area where I seem to go every time I can 🌚. Anyway they opened sometime in October I think and I was buzzing to go to the launch night but you know “mans gotta make some doe💸” so I unfortunately missed it, but my fellow friends sent me a A LOT of snapchats, which made me want to go SO bad.😣😣
Anyway, I MADE IT AND IT MADE ME REALISE HOW SPOILT & DEMANDING MY TONGUE IS, LIKE DAYMMM SON👅😈
The whole place is a beautiful and chilled venue I’m starting to believe that those are requirements to have a restaurant or bar in NQ🤔. Tbh it is a rather small establishment but they use the mirror game to create the impression of a larger venue yet still keeping it a cosy place. I’m well impressed that I know that but thats only cause of the amount of shit day time tv I watch during my mid week hangover, feeling all sorry for myself 😂
Any who they do social service, which made even happier, it’s when your food is ready it will be with you so dishes arrive at different times, you know kinda Wagamama kinda thing but food is more don. Our lovely waitress gave us the low down: It is a four sectioned menu (Ice, fire, oil, steam). It is best to order at least one from each of the sections because the sections dishes flavours compliment each other across. She (the waitress) wasn’t wrong we had to reorder quiet a few more dishes! Daym it was soo good! My mouth genuinely was barking orders at me to put more in it. I would too recommend ordering across the menu or just say fuck my account and order the whole ducking menu. Seriously. I would have, I really would have but hey #Studentlyf. Actually after saying that, we did pay around £35 each for around 12 dishes and a drink each. DECENT AF VALUE
I feel like they have killed it! The Two manc boys aim was to provide incredible food experience (what better way than oriental dishes) but they also wanted to have the true Manc social beauty alive. If there is one thing I have learned being in Manchester is that, Mancs love their food and hella appreciate great food. And they are fond of their gin. OH OH and they love to talk. SO this establishment hits all notes. It provides mouth demanding food, A great cocktail menu that has a lot of gin and finally everything from the restaurants look and feel to the detail in service so built for socialising.
Fooditude salute ✌🏾️✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾
